The New York State Assembly has recently passed bill A05498A which dramatically changes the states prevailing wage law. If enacted, the law would mandate union wage and benefit rates on private sector projects that are receiving any level of state or local economic development.
In order for the law to be enacted, it must also be passed in the New York State Senate and signed by the Governor.
